Rich in Mercy

But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,

Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)

And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.

Eyes Opened . . .

Now the king of Syria was warring against Israel; and he took counsel
with his servants, saying, "In such and such a place shall be my camp."

And the man of God sent unto the king of Israel, saying,
"Beware that thou pass not such a place; for thither the Syrians are coming down."

And the king of Israel sent to the place which the man of God told him
and warned him of; and he saved himself there, not once nor twice.

And the heart of the king of Syria was sore troubled for this thing; and he called his servants, and said unto them, "Will ye not show me which of us is for the king of Israel?"

And one of his servants said, "Nay, my lord, O king; but Elisha, the prophet that is in Israel, telleth the king of Israel the words that thou speakest in thy bedchamber."

And he said, "Go and see where he is, that I may send and fetch him." And it was told him, saying, "Behold, he is in Dothan."

Therefore sent he thither horses, and chariots, and a great host: and they came by night, and compassed the city about.

And when the servant of the man of God was risen early, and gone forth, behold, a host with horses and chariots was round about the city. And his servant said unto him, "Alas, my master! how shall we do?"

And he answered, "Fear not; for they that are with us are more than they that are with them."

And Elisha prayed, and said, "Jehovah, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see." And Jehovah opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.

Father's Day

Everyday is Father's Day. :)

Call no man your father upon the earth:
for one is your Father, which is in heaven.

~Matthew 23:9~

And He (Jesus) said unto them,

Our Father which art in heaven,

Hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come.

Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world.
If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust

For whom the Lord loveth He chasteneth,

and scourgeth every son whom He receiveth.

shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?

For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure;

but He for our profit, that we might be partakers of His holiness.

Joy's Birthday

Joy is the Christmas baby.

The name

"Joy"

means:

"Joyful Heart"

Then he said unto them . . .

Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto him for whom nothing is prepared; for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye grieved; for the joy of Jehovah is your strength.

His Lord said unto him, well done, good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will set thee over many things; enter thou into the joy of thy Lord.

But let all those that take refuge in Thee rejoice, let them ever shout for joy, because Thou defendest them: Let them also that love Thy name be joyful in Thee . . . And my soul shall be joyful in Jehovah: It shall rejoice in His salvation . . . Blessed is the people that know the joyful sound: They walk, O Jehovah, in the light of Thy countenance . . . Oh come, let us sing unto Jehovah; Let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation.
