31+ Years

Dear Dad and Mom,

Thank you for staying married for 31+ years.

We know you guys intend to stay married for another 31+ years.

In our humble opinion, you guys are the best looking, "married" couple in town.

And, just think . . . Because two people fell in love, look at what God did . . .

1. He gave you eight children who love you and like to be with you guys.

Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward. As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth. Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate.
Psalm 127:3-5

2. A daughter-in-law, who is just like one of the girls.

A father of the fatherless, and a judge of the widows, is God in his holy habitation.
God setteth the solitary in families: He bringeth out those which are bound with chains: but the rebellious dwell in a dry land.

Psalm 68:5-6

3. And last, but not least, two beautiful grandchildren, who are healthy and strong.
Children's children are the crown of old men; and the glory of children are their fathers.

Proverbs 17:6

There are many more blessings than these, but, they are too numerous to mention . . . Oh, also . . .

4. You have found that God does not cease in His blessings but is continually merciful, faithful, and just (gracious).
Gracious is the LORD, and righteous; yea, our God is merciful.

Psalm 116:5

God is faithful, by whom you were called to the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.
